TRC Series and Home Renovation Tax Credit

Great news! Now there is even more reason and benefit to purchasing any of the TRC Series of products for your home. Any TRC SOLO, TRC TWIN, and TRC TRIO purchase is eligible to be claimed towards the Home Renovation Tax Credit in Canada for 2009.
You can even claim the installation services.
The products and services qualify under the following criteria:

an alteration to homes or properties that are enduring in nature.
is an integral part of your home or property, by nature of the permanent attachment to the downspout.
is considered an irrigation system

The Rain Collector completely qualifies for this tax credit by the very definition of “an integral part or your home”. No open-top barrel system, can make this claim since there is no direct permanent attachment to the house. However, The Rain Collector does attach permanently by means of its diverter system in the downspout. This makes the system an integral water harvesting and supply system for the home.

Hello Trio!
On June 13, 2009, Nedco Products announced its latest product in the TRC Series - TRC TRIO, at the recent Windfall Ecology Festival.
Today marks the official launch of the product, as the first TRIO system rolls out of production.
Answering to customer input and requests for a larger capacity system, this 180 US Gallon (681L) system is the largest of the TRC Series.
The TRIO is a build-to-order system that has all the features found in the TWIN and SOLO, such as: mosquito proof, sealed architecture, air management for autonomous back flow, water level indicator, and the same choice of colours.
TRC TRIO rounds out the TRC Series of products, priced at $199.99. TRC TWIN receives a price drop to $179.99.

Windfall Ecology Festival June 2009

Nedco Products will showcase The Rain Collector at the Windfall Ecology Festival at Fairy Lake, Newmarket, Ontario, Canada June 13 & 14, 2009. Attendees will be able to see the entire product line of The Rain Collector and attend workshops with Nedco Products and its Sustainability Solutions Partner, Windfall Ecology Centre, as part of their Rainsaver program for York Region.
The two day event is the second year that The Rain Collector has been exhibited.
In addition, to mark this event, come and see what is new for the product and see what is in store for this year.

Students get it at The Country Day School

Today is Earth Day - April 22, 2009 - and a very important day for The Rain Collector and The Country Day School. The private school, located in King City, Ontario, encourages forward thinking and betterment for all. Spawning from such principles is the Green Club, formed by Grade 5 and 6 students at the school.
As part of its school-year mission, the Green Club set goals for each school term. The term 2 project was to make a recycled paper notebook product using paper waste, and sell it to raise money for a rain barrel, the goal for Term 3. The students raised $60, and as word spread, the school’s Alumni Association matched that amount.
Nedco Products was made aware of this Club’s efforts and decided to match their efforts as well, to ensure that the students could install The Rain Collector TWIN.
This morning, The Country Day School held its Earth Day assembly where the Green Club unveiled and presented The Rain Collector TWIN system to the school. Surrounding the event was the most direct and comprehensive presentation on the environmental issues at hand. The specific interest was that the presentation focussed specifically on water conservation and preservation.
The Green Club and the school will be watering a community garden planted at the school with this system.
Nedco Products congratulates the initiative, determination, and leadership that these young students have put forth.

April 4, 2009 marks an important date for The Rain Collector. Today, Nedco Products’ Sustainable Solutions Partner, the Windfall Ecology Centre, launched its RainSaver program for York Region, at the Newmarket Home Show. (photos coming soon)
This program has The Rain Collector Solo at its heart, and the system is available by signing up for a workshop at Windfall, in Aurora, Ontario. As part of the fee for this workshop, attendees will leave the session with The Rain Collector SOLO and other partner products.
This program stems from a deal signed between Windfall and Nedco Products in February 2009, where an ongoing supply will be purchased by Windfall for this subsidized program.
Windfall offers The Rain Collector SOLO in Hunter Green for this program.
